He mentors medical students and junior doctors as well as being a clinical supervisor for higher surgical trainees in ENT. He frequently teaches on local and national instructional ENT courses and is an invited speaker at international conferences.
His research interests include improving patient education through shared decision-making, evaluating sinonasal surgery outcomes using large national datasets and the adoption of innovation into surgical practice. He has written six NHS England national clinical guidelines, authored over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded 13 prizes for his clinical and academic endeavours.
