Dr Rakesh Anand is a Dermatology Consultant here at OneWelbeck Skin Health & Allergy. He is also a Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and Honorary Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He has expertise in all aspects of general and cosmetic dermatology but specialises in skin cancer and Mohs surgery. Dr Anand attended University College London Medical School before completing specialty training at renowned hospitals in London, including the Royal London and the Royal Free.

About Dr Rakesh Anand

Dr Rakesh Anand is a Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads the Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer (NMSC) Multidisciplinary Team, and an Honorary Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He practises across the full breadth of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, with a particular specialist focus on skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr Anand studied medicine at University College London before completing his dermatology specialty training at leading London teaching hospitals, including the Royal London and the Royal Free Hospital. He subsequently undertook a prestigious fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and laser dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, one of the world’s foremost centres for skin cancer care.

He is a high-volume proceduralist, performing over 500 Mohs micrographic surgery cases annually, alongside a wide range of advanced dermatological and laser procedures. He regularly manages complex and tertiary referral cases, including high-risk and anatomically challenging skin cancers, often within multidisciplinary pathways.

Dr Anand is widely recognised by both colleagues and patients for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to the highest standards of care, and is known for his calm, sensitive and approachable manner. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Anand remains actively involved in dermatological research, service development and teaching, and has received multiple awards in recognition of his clinical and academic contributions.
