Career Highlights:

Dr George Webster has 15 years’ experience as a consultant in one of the busiest gastroenterology centres in the UK, University College London Hospitals.

He gained his medical qualifications at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School in 1991, and then went on to complete his postgraduate training at the Royal Brompton, Hammersmith and Whittington hospitals. He undertook clinical training in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy in London at the Royal Free, Barts, The Royal London and the Middlesex/UCL hospitals, and then in Sydney. He is regularly invited to lecture on these topics in the UK, Europe and the US, and to perform live endoscopy demonstrations both nationally and internationally.

These areas of research have led to improved understanding of disease (e.g. the recognition, diagnosis and management of IgG4-related disease, and the observation that this may mimic malignancy), and in improved delivery of expert endoscopic practice nationally and internationally.
