He also has special interests and male genital skin disease and paediatric skin problems whilst also offering skin cancer assessments and surgery.
About Dr Bryan McDonald
Dr Bryan McDonald is a Consultant Dermatologist at OneWelbeck who consults on dermatology, with special interest in inflammatory skin disease, such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne vulgaris and hidradenitis suppurativa. Dr McDonald also has interest in management of male genital skin disease, and skin cancers including skin surgery and mole checks. He performs skin biopsies, curettage and cautery, removing benign moles or skin tags, carries out injections for hair loss or keloid scars and performs cryotherapy.
Dr McDonald trained at Queen’s University, Belfast and then trained in General Practice. After completion of his training he worked as a locum GP and subsequently became a GP Partner. After completing a postgraduate diploma in Dermatology he returned to hospital medicine, re-training in dermatology with a National Training Number on the Royal Free London rotation.
His NHS post is with Bartshealth NHS Trust where he is the Paediatric Dermatology Lead at the Royal London Hospital. He is also a member of the BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) Therapeutics and Guidelines Committee.
