Helen Lammin
Helen qualified as a physiotherapist 13 years ago, starting her career at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. She went on to specialise as a senior cardio-respiratory Physiotherapist in a specialist heart and lung tertiary hospital. She is now a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist within a fully accredited Pulmonary Rehabilitation team as well as working for Air Physiotherapy.
Helen has excellent knowledge and experience of working with adults with COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, ILD and chronic lung and cardiac disease. Provision of care for her clients includes airway clearance techniques, rehabilitation and exercise prescription, breathing pattern re-education, inspiratory muscle training, oxygen recommendations, and promoting self-management. More recently she has been successfully treating patients with long-covid and complex breathing pattern disorders.
During both waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, Helen worked on the frontline providing airway clearance and supporting patients’ rehabilitation from intensive care to home. In addition, she is an experienced Pilates teacher which she draws on to help clients with their shortness of breath, breathing pattern dysfunctions and postures.
