About Mr Oliver Jones
Mr Oliver Jones is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He undertook junior doctor training in Oxford, Glasgow, Cambridge and London, including St Marks Hospital. He undertook registrar training in the Wessex region before completing his training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in Australia.
Mr Jones was awarded a DM degree for my research into mechanisms of faecal continence and defaecation, their disorders and treatment. He has published two books and over a hundred journal articles and book chapters.
Mr Jones has expertise in cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and diverticular disease. He has a particular interest in pelvic floor disorders, incontinence, constipation and prolapse. Mr Jones work closely with gynaecological colleagues to treat women with complex endometriosis. He sees many patients with haemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas and pilonidal disease.
Mr Jones was Clinical Director for Surgery in Oxford between 2018 and 2022.
