Dr Nowlan Selvapatt is Lead for Inpatient Liver Care and provides liaison to intensive care. He provides expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopies (OGD) and diagnostic colonoscopy including removal of polyps.

About Dr Nowlan Selvapatt

Dr Nowlan Selvapatt is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at OneWelbeck Digestive Health and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Dr Selvapatt completed his specialist training in London including an Advanced Training Programme at King’s College Hospital Liver Transplant and Intensive Care Unit. In 2017, he gained a PhD at Imperial College for his research in Health Economic Analyses for Viral Hepatitis Screening Programmes.

He has specialist interests in chronic liver disease, particularly cirrhosis and he is Lead for Inpatient Liver Care and provides liaison to intensive care.

In 2016 he was involved in writing the World Health Organisation (WHO) Guidelines on Management of Hepatitis C. He has published numerous peer review journals and research papers including in complications of cirrhosis, and book chapters on Acute on Chronic Liver Failure. Additionally, he regularly presents at international conferences.
