Overview

Dr Genevieve Osborne is an experienced dermatologist who has worked as a consultant dermatologist for over 20 years, initially at Imperial College NHS Trust and later at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust. She is now in full-time private practice. She has broad experience in general dermatology, with both adult and paediatric patients (aged 12+). She has served as Clinical Lead in Skin Cancer and has particular interests in medical dermatology and autoimmune skin disease.

About Dr Genevieve Osborne

Dr Genevieve Osborne is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 20 years’ experience in the field. She provides specialist dermatology care for adults and older children with all skin conditions, ranging from acne, eczema and skin cancers to complex skin diseases that may affect other organ systems. She is known for her approachable style and, after a thorough assessment, offers tailored advice along with medical or surgical treatments.

Dr Osborne graduated in Medicine from the University of Southampton in 1992. She gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1996, and completed her specialist dermatology training in 2003 within the London Deanery. Her dermatology specialist training included time at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital, London, as well as at King’s College Hospital, London.

She developed an ongoing interest in medical dermatology during her work as a clinical fellow and researcher in dermato-haemato-oncology at King’s College Hospital and King’s College London, where she studied graft-versus-host disease in both the clinic and laboratory (2002–2003).

From 2004, Dr Osborne worked as an NHS Consultant Dermatologist at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College, London, where she served as Lead Clinician of the Dermatology Department and Lead of the Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team. In 2016, she took up the post of NHS Consultant Dermatologist at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Dr Osborne now works full-time in private practice in London and Bristol, where she sees both adult patients and paediatric patients over the age of 12. She also regularly teaches postgraduate students and general practitioners.
