About Dr Ellie Rashid

Dr Ellie Rashid is a Consultant Dermatologist at OneWelbeck Skin Health and Allergy and Clinical Lead for the complex Hidradenitis Suppurativa tertiary service at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. She consults on all aspects of dermatology including paediatric dermatology, hidradenitis suppurativa, mole checks, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation disorders, vitiligo and melasma. She is joint training program director for specialist dermatology training in London.

She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. She graduated from Bart’s and the London Medical School in 2006 and completed her rigorous dermatology specialist registrar training at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology.  She was awarded a PhD in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine in 2021.

She continues to publish original research in peer reviewed journals, and written textbook chapters on dermatology. She has presented at international scientific meetings globally and has been awarded numerous awards for her clinical activity and research including the Hugh Wallace award, European Society for Investigative Dermatology award and the La Roche-Posay research award for Europe.
