Dr Derrick Phillips

Dr Derrick Phillips is a Consultant Dermatologist at Welbeck's Private Dermatology Clinic. He consults on general skin conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and melasma. With hundreds of surgical hours, Dr Phillips offers a range of treatments for skin tags, skin lesions and skin cancers. He has a strong interest in cosmetic dermatology and provides a wide range of facial rejuvenation treatments.

Dr Phillips worked in the National Health Service for 12 years and was a consultant at the world-renowned Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he was the clinical lead for psoriasis, overseeing the management of patients receiving biologic therapies. As a specialist in adult female acne, he has contributed to cutting-edge research, including a national clinical trial for hormonal acne. He was the undergraduate lead for medical students at St Mary’s Hospital and held an honorary appointment as a clinical teacher at Imperial College London. He has also practised in Dubai and Australia, bringing a global perspective to dermatology and experience treating diverse skin types.

Dr Phillips is widely published in scientific literature and has lectured at international conferences. As an official spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation, his expertise is regularly featured across print and online media including British Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, The Guardian and BBC Radio.
