Overview

Dr Cristina Psomadakis is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. In her NHS post she leads the skin cancer service, and sees adult and paediatric patients. She also holds a Masters in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine and has expertise in skincare, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, mole and skin cancer surgery, paediatric dermatology and cosmetic treatments.

About Dr Cristina Psomadakis

Dr Cristina Psomadakis is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. In her NHS post she leads the skin cancer service, and sits on the regional complex skin cancer multi-disciplinary team. She also holds a Masters in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine and has expertise in skincare, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, mole and skin cancer surgery, paediatric dermatology and cosmetic treatments. She has published internationally and co-authored the module on Cosmetic Dermatology for the St Johns Dermatology Diploma.
She received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago (BSc Hons) and gained her first masters at the University of Oxford (MSt Distinction). She completed post-graduate medical degree at the University of Warwick (MBChB) and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians while completing her training in internal medicine in London. She did four years of dermatology specialist training at the prestigious St Johns Institute of Dermatology, including a six month Mohs fellowship. She has been awarded national prizes and scholarships, has numerous academic publications and has presented her research internationally.
She is medical director of prescription skincare service, and has served as a consulting advisor and product developer for many well known skincare brands and runs the successful social media account Dr Soma Skin. She has travelled around the world as an invited speaker and frequently speaks on topics relating to skincare, skin cancers, ageing and social media.
