Welbeck offers outpatient procedural and day-case intervention work in a unique dedicated setting to include procedures such as Ear, Nose & Throat, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, AF Ablation, Orthopaedic, Gynaecological and Gastro-Intestinal procedures. Welbeck Health Partners are developing several other day centres across the UK in addition to the flagship centre at 1 Welbeck Street. Further centres are also planned internationally.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to join our Cardiology team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in ECG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and working within busy outpatient cardiology clinics. This role will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality diagnostic and patient care services, working closely with cardiac physiologists, nurses, and medical staff.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs in line with departmental protocols.
• Assist in the set-up, delivery, and monitoring of stress exercise test and stress
echocardiography procedures, including patient preparation and observation.
• Carry out ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring, including device fitting, data retrieval, and preliminary analysis.
• Provide clear and compassionate explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring informed consent and comfort throughout.
• Support cardiac physiologists in diagnostic testing, ensuring accurate data collection and timely reporting.
• Identify and escalate abnormal ECG or cardiac monitoring findings to senior staff
promptly.
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control during all procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation and entry of patient data into relevant clinical systems.
• Participate in departmental audits, service improvement initiatives, and training
programmes.
• Mentor and support junior healthcare support workers and students.
