We are looking for a dynamic, hard – working Phlebotomist to join our team at OneWelbeck Imaging and Diagnostics in Central London. Situated adjacent to Bond Street tube station, we are part of an exciting new enterprise focussing on the highest quality care provided by the highest quality professionals.

The Opportunity

  • You will provide the highest standards and safe practices of care and service to patients attending for phlebotomy and other sample collections.
  • Understand the different types of blood test and testing within the Imaging department
  • Prepare and disinfect the rooms for each patient accordingly as part of infection control processes, Complete daily checks, Replenish stock in all rooms. Ensure PPE is always available and worn in Patient Areas.
  • Assist with appropriate administrative tasks when required, prepare labels and kits.
  • Use of our internal booking system (Compucare) for booking blood requests and managing daily running of bookings of the phlebotomy centre.
  • Maintain a complete record of mandatory training and participate in Audits.
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed for each patient and order complete in (Compucare)
  • Making sure collection of samples are handed over to the laboratory service accordingly
  • Be aware and adhere to all safety measures within the department.
  • Working together as a team and assisting colleagues with the day to day running of the department
  • To take responsibility for individualised patient care and to communicate any difficulties relating to his / her care as appropriate to the Manager.

Skills & experience

We require applicants to have a minimum of four years’ experience of venepuncture
