Role Information:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join the Materials Management team at One Welbeck Surgery Centre on a part-time basis. This role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of our surgical inventory, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, and helping us maintain high standards of care and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Handling & Organisation:
- Receive deliveries and ensure goods are accurately checked and received into the inventory system.
- Restock and tidy shelves and storage areas in a systematic and organised way.
- Order Preparation & Monitoring:
- Assist in preparing order lists based on stock levels and usage.
- Communicate low stock alerts to the Revenue and Materials Manager for timely reordering.
- Stock Auditing:
- Conduct regular checks for expired or soon-to-expire products and assist in removing/disposing of them as per protocol.
- Help with periodic stocktakes and data validation.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Theatre Team to understand usage patterns and upcoming needs.
- Respond promptly to supply-related requests from clinical staff.
- Additional Support:
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave, as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospital/surgical or logistics/inventory environment is desirable but not essential.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
- Comfortable using basic IT systems or willing to learn (training will be provided).
- Ability to lift boxes and manage physical stock.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative approach to work.
Working Hours:
- Part-time depending on delivery schedules and Business needs.
- Flexibility to provide occasional cover for annual leave within the team is required.
