Role Information:
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced nurse who is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to join our team at a private digestive health outpatient centre at One Welbeck, in Central London. You will be working to provide clinical expertise, support and knowledge to all patients and carers who attend the Centre and to be involved in decision making. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver clinical excellence and must demonstrate knowledge of digestive/GI/gastroenterology outpatient services and treatments.

Main duties and responsibilities
Delivering top class care to our patients:
· Working with the Centre Director to oversee the centres services and pathways.
· Commitment and focus on individualised patient care, focussing on quality, safety, and innovation.
· Providing skilled and considerate nursing care to patients according to their specific needs.
· Preparing the treatment room/equipment and providing specialist assistance to the clinicians as required.
· Promoting the incorporation of health education into patient care, ensuring safe discharge of patients.
· Fully document all aspects of patient care and maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Driving continuous improvement of the performance and quality of care of the centre:
· Support the Centre Director in facilitating communication and problem solving, establishing effective working relationships between clinicians and centre staff to develop a culture of continuous improvement that focusses on clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
· Lead and participate in audits within the Centre.
· Contribute to research-based care and other practice development initiatives.
· Ensure robust risk assessment processes are in place.
· To be proactive in managing adverse incidents/events.
· Support the team in working in the most efficient and clinically effective way whilst seeking new ways to improve service delivery and adopting innovations.
· Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
· Actively participate in mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
· Attend and participate in team meetings.
Profile
Experience & Qualifications:
· Qualified experienced Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
· Previous experience within a GI/Colo-rectal/Gastroenterology setting (essential).
· ILS certification (essential).
· Cannulation competency (essential).
