Role Information:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Quality Team as a Clinical Outcomes and Audit Lead. This is a new role created to spearhead improvements in patient care using outcomes data. This is a leadership role responsible for the operational management of outcome and audit data collection and using clinical knowledge to instigate and drive change based on the evidence collected. The postholder will develop systems and processes to ensure we have an in depth understanding of patient outcomes via National and local programmes including but not limited to; Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN), National registries and databases, local PROMS. This role offers an opportunity to make a real change to patient care and therefore we are looking for a candidate with a real passion for maximising quality of care using an evidence-based approach. A key requirement will be the ability to influence change across service provision, working with multiple different teams and professional roles.

OneWelbeck offers outpatient procedural and day-case intervention work in a unique dedicated setting to include procedures such as Ear, Nose & Throat, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Cryo AF Ablation, Orthopaedic, Gynaecological and Gastro-Intestinal procedures.
Welbeck Health Partners are developing several other day centres across the UK in addition to the flagship centre at 1 Welbeck Street. Further centres are also planned internationally.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The postholder will need to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in outcomes, audit and effectiveness. They will need to demonstrate a passion for patient safety, quality of care, service improvement and a good understanding of risk. Experience in project management and change management will also be required.
The post holder will lead on ensuring outcomes, audit and effectiveness information, reporting and analysis of data is used to manage quality, improvements and will ensure changes to relevant policies and protocols.
Key responsibilities are:
• Setting up a process for the management of submissions to the National programmes for outcomes, audits and registries where relevant to the Centres.
• Oversight and horizon scanning of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN) improvement plans for outcomes, audit and registries.
• Setting up the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives.
• Overseeing staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical programme effectiveness.
• Setting up reports on clinical outcomes and audit data.
• Evaluating and summarising patient effectiveness data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with interventional guidance and clinical standards, particularly new interventional procedures.
• Identifying areas for improvement and assisting Centres in developing strategies to improve performance.
• Providing timely high-quality feedback to teams, groups with analysis, reports and presentations in line with project timelines
• Effectively communicating through the form of presentations, gap analysis, project plans, the outcome data collected and actions following this data sharing.
• Communicating information, risks, issues and learning, including briefings and reports to Centres.
• Building relationships with Centres and their teams to ensure their participation in outcomes, audit and effectiveness projects.
• With the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer to ensuring that reports are prepared for meetings and Boards on all aspects of quality and clinical governance to provide assurance that effective controls are in place.
• Supervising the collection, analysis and interpretation of clinical and patient data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Developing a system that standardises patient outcome measures.
• Triangulating recommendations from different audit, registries and clinical outcomes, to inform clinicians and the clinical strategy to improve patient outcomes.
• Supporting Peer Review, MDTs, local and external PROMS.
• Involvement in all the other work we do where it is linked to outcomes and clinical effectiveness.
Operational Delivery:
• Developing assessment and analysis of outcomes, audit and registries based on various parameters.
• Reviewing tools in practice that can help facilitate what is required to measure healthcare outcomes.
• Analysing and interpreting patient-related healthcare outcomes data to identify the key issues for clinical practice
• Developing PROMS submission
• Supporting the production and review of specific patient outcomes indicators using a wide range of approaches to communicate findings to clinicians of all specialties and grades.
• Cultivating a culture of curiosity and exploration around patient-related healthcare outcomes throughout the organisation.
• Identifying and escalating concerns about patient outcomes as appropriate.
• Supporting with the development of project plans and action plans to assist with effective change.
• Preparing business cases as appropriate with the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer.
