Role Information:
We are looking for Bank Mammographers to help us provide continuing imaging support during leave and busy clinics. You will join a team who are responsible for delivering a safe, efficient and high-quality Breast imaging service.

The Mammographer will be expected to undertake and perform all mammography examinations, including assisting with biopsies and other interventional procedures under the guidance of the Breast Radiologist.
Using the Hologic equipment, the post holder will demonstrate expertise in Breast Imaging techniques by promoting high standards of diagnostic radiography through best practice and having high standards of patient care. You will need to ensure that an excellent Mammography service is maintained at all times.
You must be a qualified Radiographer who holds the Post Graduate Certificate of Professional Practice in Mammography and be HCPC registered. Capable and willing to work to the highest standards, committed to patient care and with the desire to work in this exacting environment. You should have extensive active post-graduate experience as a Radiographer and further years of mammography experience.
Clinics currently run between 08:30 and 17:00 on weekdays which may change depending upon patient numbers on the day.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Undertake mammograms to support screening and symptomatic breast clinics.
· Perform quality control QA related Hologic mammography equipment.
· Undertake all administrative duties involved with the Breast imaging service.
· Perform all X-ray examinations as required and within the scope of the IRMER regulations.
· Utilise and understand the PACS & Compucare system
· Undertake associated administrative tasks.
· Experience assisting with core and vacuum assisted biopsies is essential.
