About Mr Gidon Ellis

Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at OneWelbeck and Royal Free London. He maintains a broad general urology practice and has subspecialist interest in male urinary symptoms due to prostate and bladder disorders, bladder and upper tract urothelial cancers and kidney stones. As an endourologist his surgical expertise is in the minimally invasive management of the enlarged prostate and bladder cancers, as well ureteroscopy and laser management of kidney stones and upper urinary tract tumours.

 

Mr Ellis completed his higher urological training in North London, concluding with a year spent at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals where he honed his subspecialist skills in endourology and management of kidney stones. He was awarded The Urology Foundation Endourology Travelling Fellowship Award. Following award of his Certificate of Completion of Training, Mr Ellis undertook a Fellowship position in laser prostate surgery (HoLEP).

 

Mr Ellis is passionate about research and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, has authored book chapters and has presented his work at international and national conferences. He maintains a strong interest in training the next generation of Urological Surgeons and has served as a faculty member on both national and international workshops and masterclasses in kidney stone management and HoLEP surgery.

 

Mr Ellis is passionate about providing the highest standards of care to all of his patients and takes a holistic approach with a focus on the needs of each individual patient. He is committed to providing the latest and most effective treatment options, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgical interventions where appropriate.
