About Dr Liz McCulloch
Dr Liz McCulloch is a highly experienced General Practitioner with a deep specialisation in women’s health, menopause, and PMS. With over 24 years of practice, she has built an extensive career grounded in both clinical expertise and leadership in healthcare.
Dr McCulloch began her medical career in Austria, graduating from Vienna University in 2001. Her thesis on Polymorphisms of Gene Clusters in Ovarian Cancer set the stage for her future research in women’s health, which she continued at Martin-Luther University Hospital in Halle, Germany, focusing on breast cancer risk.
After training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Vienna’s renowned Ignaz-Semmelweis Hospital, Dr McCulloch moved to the UK, where she obtained her GMC qualifications as a General Practitioner. Since 2008, she has worked as a GP in the UK, contributing to local healthcare policies and projects. As Clinical Lead for Maternity and Children’s Services, Urgent Care, and End of Life Care for Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group, she led initiatives to improve clinical quality and patient outcomes.
In addition to her GP work, Dr McCulloch is an expert in menopause care, having received the Certificate of Menopause Care from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in 2015/2016 after extensive training with Prof Nick Panay, President of the International Menopause Society. She also completed specialised work at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Menopause Department and continues her practice as an Associate at Hormone Health, previously at 92 Harley Street and now located at OneWelbeck. In recognition of her expertise, she has been awarded the Advanced Certificate of Menopause Care and is a Menopause Specialist recognised by the British Menopause Society.
Dr McCulloch’s interest in women’s health extends into aesthetic medicine, where she integrates her knowledge of hormonal health with facial and body ageing. She is a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and has spoken at numerous national conferences, including those organised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Nursing, and the British College of Aesthetic Medicine.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr McCulloch is the founder and Medical Director of her clinic in Hove, where she continues to offer evidence-based treatments for both menopause and aesthetic concerns.
