Dr Gayatri Mittal is a Consultant Rheumatologist and clinical lead for biologic and Ankylosing Spondylitis services at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), Stanmore. She also holds appointment for Honorary Associate Professor at University College London, and conducts specialist clinics in spondylarthrosis, psoriatic arthritis and hypermobility at RNOH. She started practising privately in 2014.

Dr Gayatri Mittal is Consultant Rheumatologist and clinical lead for biologic and Ankylosing Spondylitis services at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), Stanmore. She also hold appointment for Honorary Associate Professor at University College London. She conducts specialist clinics in spondylarthritis, psoriatic arthritis and hypermobility at RNOH. 


She is currently researching on designing and developing targeted intra-articular therapies for the treatment of arthritis. Her specialist training in the UK includes North East Thames Rheumatology Rotation, Clinical Research Fellowship at Bangor, North Wales and undertaking PhD at Bone and Joint Research Unit, London. She was awarded a clinical excellence award in 2016 and 2018. Prior to coming to the UK in 2002, she worked as Senior Registrar in Rheumatology at a private tertiary centre in Mumbai, India.


She is experienced in managing the whole spectrum of common and uncommon rheumatologic disorders. Her special clinical interests include inflammatory arthritis, gout and hypermobility.
