Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procedures Nursing Manager to provide excellent clinical and managerial leadership for the delivery of exemplary minor operations and endoscopy services at our private patient day-case centre. This role will oversee the day-to-day organisation and management of the endoscopy and respiratory unit, procedure rooms, Mohs lab services, and patient recovery areas. Responsibilities include oversight of clinical practice, resource management, clinician engagement, safe staffing provision, and financial management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role reports to the Clinical Services Director and works closely with the Centre Director, Doctor Centre Directors, and Clinical Specialty Leads. You will line manage the nursing team and oversee service standards delivered by staff, bank, and agency workers.

Job Responsibilities

You will work Monday–Friday during core hours (9–6pm) with flexibility for extended hours or weekends. As a senior managerial role, you will provide leadership and ensure high-quality service delivery while remaining visible and engaged with staff and stakeholders. You will collaborate with clinicians, senior leaders, and departments to develop services across multiple specialties including gastroenterology, respiratory, dermatology, urology, and gynaecology. You will also attend specialty board meetings, hospital committees, and governance forums contributing to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).

Clinical and Professional Leadership

  • Lead the nursing team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to patients’ needs.
  • Foster a culture of compassion and respect through effective team engagement.
  • Maintain visibility within clinical areas and act as a clinical expert in the outpatient setting.

Patient Care and Safety

  • Ensure all clinical staff deliver and evaluate individualised patient care to professional standards.
  • Promote best practice, safeguarding standards, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Prioritise patient safety, act as an advocate, and raise safeguarding concerns when necessary.

Workforce Management and Development

  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee training, induction, competencies, supervision, and appraisals.
  • Foster a culture of openness and professional integrity where staff feel safe to speak up.

Operational and Financial Management

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix through effective planning and scheduling.
  • Lead workforce planning aligned with projected activity and efficiency goals.
  • Support service development initiatives and departmental budgeting.
  • Monitor and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources.

Governance and Compliance
