He has become the ENT surgeon that local GPs trust to ask for advice and to take their own children and family members to see. He still sees general ENT patients and urgent ENT problems, and is a vastly experienced and reputable ENT doctor, proficient in general ENT procedures in children and adults but he has super specialist expertise in Rhinology (nose and sinus problems).

  • Sinus procedures including endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty (he was one of the pioneers of balloon sinuplasty on the UK)

Mondays: 9.00 – 13.00

Thursdays: 14:30 – 17:30

Research interests

  • Most recent research interests: loss of smell due to the Covid-19 pandemic – thus far this has produced 3 peer-reviewed medical journal publications (for one of which Mr Jayaraj was Principal Investigator)

  • Mr Jayaraj was one of the pioneers of balloon sinuplasty surgery in the UK and a co-author of the Cochrane Review in this surgical technique
  • Over 40 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and numerous international presentations
  • Featured articles in the national press and magazines
  • Contributed to 4 textbooks including as chapter author in an internationally published textbook on sinus surgery 2014
