About Professor Jane Setterfield

Professor Jane Setterfield is a Consultant Dermatologist and Oral Medicine Specialist at OneWelbeck Skin Health & Allergy. She is an NHS consultant at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and is Professor of Oral and Dermatological Medicine at King’s College London.

She has over 25 years’ experience in the full range of adult general dermatology with specialist interests in complex medical dermatology, autoimmune diseases, and oral and genital skin diseases. She currently leads the oral dermatology service at Guy’s hospital. She is an international expert in autoimmune blistering diseases, has an active research programme at KCL and has multiple publications.

Professor Setterfield is a member of many professional bodies and is a medical advisor for the patient support groups Behcet’s UK and Pemfriends.

Professor Jane Setterfield qualified in Dentistry from Barts and the Royal London Hospital and in Medicine from University College Hospitals, London. She trained in Dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology where she is an Honorary Consultant in Dermatology and an Oral Medicine Specialist. She has undertaken research in the University of Connecticut and continues her research at King’s College London.
