Mr Helder Caldeira

Helder Carlos Calderia is an adult nurse who attended Thames Valley University where he qualified with a diploma. He went on to work in an acute cardiac ward in the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for two years. He gained his catheter experience in the Harley Street clinic working alongside a heart cardiologist both in the adult and paediatric fields for 10 years.

To increase his expertise within the field, he got a job at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, where he became more involved with the complex treatments for cardiac patients, both from pacing needs and arrhythmic. He was put in a clinical environment which helped him develop his knowledge and skills within the field through research and field practice.

He was taught how to manage patients during extreme long procedures and trained to insert loop reveal implants in a nurse-led clinic environment in the NHS. He completed his course with congenital heart disease patients and gained experience with inherited arrhythmia patients.
