Dr Ozkor performs a range of treatments, including:
- Perioperative cardiac assessment
- Cardiovascular risk assessment
- Balloon angioplasty
- Interventional adjuncts such as thrombectomy devices, distal protection and rotational atherectomy
- Radial access procedures
- Vein grafts
- Interpretation of IVUS and pressure wire data
Dr Ozkor, MBBS, BSc, MRCP, MD, qualified at Imperial College School of Medicine, in 1997. Since then he has worked in several London teaching hospitals (St Mary’s Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the London Chest Hospital).
In 2005, Dr Ozkor took a three year sabbatical to complete his MD at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He was awarded a British Cardiovascular Society Research Fellowship to undertake a National Institute of Health funded translational research study, focusing on vascular and endothelial function.
Dr Ozkor was appointed as consultant cardiologist to The Heart Hospital, University College Hospitals and North Middlesex University Hospital, in November 2010.
Research and Awards
His PhD work was rewarded both at the local level with Merit awards and recognised at an international level at the American College of Cardiology Conference, in March 2009; when he was shortlisted as a Young Investigator Award Finalist and became runner-up.
