Dr Bhan (MB BS, MRCP, MD(Res)) qualified from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Medical School (Queen Mary and Westfield University) in 2002. Prior to commencing Specialist Registrar training in Cardiology, he undertook a Research Fellowship at King’s College Hospital/King’s College London, which culminated in a MD(Res) degree.
His general Cardiology training was in hospitals in the South- East and London with subspecialty Congenital Heart training at The Royal Brompton, Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Great Ormond St Hospitals.
He achieved his CCT in Cardiology in 2015 and went on to undertake a Fellowship in Catheter Intervention for Congenital and Structural Heart Disease at Barts Heart Centre and was appointed a substantive Consultant there in 2017. He also became an Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond St Hospital in 2019, where he sees children who are preparing to have their long-term care transferred to adult services
